Canvassers These volunteers meet and greet people around their neighborhood while collecting signatures on ballot access petitions. Be prepared to talk briefly with lots of people who may or may not know you and answer simple campaign questions.
Event Runners These volunteers help host Candidate Q&A and other events by running the sign-in and signatures desk. Be prepared to greet lots of people and answer simple logistical questions.
Research These volunteers find leads on venues to speak at, and generally dig up answers to whatever questions the campaign has. Strong internet skills or substantial social knowledge base essential.
Data Entry These volunteers put information collected in person in paper format into databases usable by other volunteers. Be prepared to decipher some occasionally atrocious handwriting.
Campaign Manager These volunteers help keep my schedule organized and moving forward. I cannot quit my job to run this campaign and need help. This may become a paid position after June 1.
Treasurer This volunteer helps keep the campaign’s finances in order and files reports with the Federal Elections Commission. This officer is required by the Federal Elections Commission before the campaign can meaningfully fundraise. This may become a paid position after June 1.
Fundraiser These volunteers look for fundraising opportunities. Be prepared to pitch this campaign to so many people.
